Rex zijn verhaal

Rex woonde samen met 20 honden bij een oude fabriek ergens in Servië. Eind februari werd de fabriek gesloten en de eigenaren zijn weggegaan, de honden zijn op straat gezet. Rex was een van hen.  Zolang er mensen  in de fabriek werkten voedden die de honden maar opeens was er niemand meer. 

Iemand zag Rex strompelen en heeft een servisch gezin gebeld, die wel vaker honden opvangen en zij hebben hem meegenomen. 
Voor Rex zou overleven straat onmogelijk zijn. Het was onduidelijk wat hem precies mankeerde maar hij is zwaar kreupel en misvormd.

Het gezin nam contact op met Nancy van Stray Dogs en zij stuurde Rex zijn verhaal naar de AMCF. De voorzitter en secretaris besloten dat Rex natuurlijk in het virtuele adoptieproject van de AMCF moest komen maar beraadden zich of ze meer konden doen omdat Rex in Servie geen enkele kans zou hebben.

De medische kennis daar is zeer achter bij ons en na enig overleg werd besloten dat Rex in opvang zou gaan bij de voorzitter van de AMCF, Betty Heideman die zelf een kleine opvang heeft voor gehandicapte en oude honden, tevens hospice voor terminaal en chronisch zieke honden, stichting Dj-Imba.

Rex's story

 
There was a factory somewhere in Serbe and there were some 20 dogs there..  The factory closed and the owners left.  All of these poor dogs were left to fend for themselves on the streets. Rex was one of them.  People who worked in that factory used to feed these dogs, but once it was closed, all of this ends.  

Somebody contacted a Serbe family who have helped other dogs, and told them about this poor German Shepherd, who is hardly able to walk, and who would not survive on the streets on his own. 

The familiy contacted Nancy of Stray Dogs who contacted the AMCF with the question of Rex could go into the virtual adoption project. Both the president and the secretary agreed straight away but also consulted on how they could help Rex further because he would not stand a change in Serbe.

The medical knowledge there is way behind and after some consideration it was decided that Rex would go into shelter with the president of the AMCF Betty Heideman, who has a small home for disabled and old dogs, also hospice for terminal and chronically ill dogs, foundation Dj-Imba.
